Our Volunteers
Mission Bit’s volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. Our classroom volunteers play an essential role in providing one on one support to our students and assisting our instructors. We also recruit volunteers for one-time events (no technical skills required) who support us during the year. These events include our workshops, Demo Day, and our annual gala.

“I’ve been so fortunate to move to Silicon Valley and give back to students who are just like me at Mission Bit. I’m grateful for every opportunity and want to continue to guide and inspire the next generation of engineers.”
Volunteer FAQs
How can I help Mission Bit as a volunteer?
There are many different ways Mission Bit volunteers help us. Volunteers can provide support inside the classroom and out, but they can also help us build partnerships with companies that want to give back, secure equipment donations, or provide feedback on our programs. We welcome all volunteers who are passionate about our mission.
What computer languages do we teach?
In the classroom, we teach HTML and CSS for web design and C# for game design. Although all of our classes are introductory, having a basic understanding of the languages taught in the specified course is required. Experience with design thinking practices, UI, UX, or video game design is encouraged!
Where are your partner schools?

How can my company support my volunteer work?
Many companies have a match program through the Human Resources Department, which encourages employees to volunteer by matching their volunteer hours. You can also talk to your company about becoming a partner to support our work. Scroll down to see our current partners and sponsors.
